Anstruther attractions The Scottish Fisheries Museum, St Ayles, Harbourhead, Anstruther, Fife KY10 3AB. Tel: 01333 310628. The museum is situated on the harbour front in Anstruther and tells the story of fishing in Scotland and its people from earliest times to the present. It occupies 27,000sq ft including two “A” listed buildings – a 1724 Merchant house and a 16thC Abbot's lodging. There is now a covered boatyard and the latest gallery houses a 78 ft “Zulu” fishing vessel dating from the early 1900's. www.scotfishmuseum.org. Location: In the centre of Anstruther.

Anstruther attractions Kellie Castle & Garden, Pittenweem, Fife, KY10 2RF. Tel 01333 720271. Kellie Castle was completed around 1606, once home to the Earls of Kellie and was restored by the Lorimer family in 1878. The oldest tower, dating back to 1360, is said to be haunted. Since 1970 Kellie Castle has been in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. About 5 miles northwest of Anstruther.
