Amersham. Amersham is a market town with two parts: Amersham
on the Hill which is close to the railway station, and Old Amersham
with St. Mary's 13th century church and several old inns. Amersham
is located in the southeastern corner of Buckinghamshire, 5 miles
northeast of High Wycombe, 4 miles north of Beaconsfield and
4 miles west of Rickmansworth. Amersham is about 7 miles north
of Junction 2 of the M40 motorway and 5 miles west of Junction

Aylesbury. Aylesbury is a busy country town, with narrow Tudor
streets and 17th century houses, located on the A41. It is about
50 miles from London, 15 miles east of Bicester, 18 miles east
of Oxford and 15 miles south of Milton Keynes. The most picturesque
part of Aylesbury is in the mostly Georgian area around the church,
which includes the Museum and Art Gallery, and the Roald Dahl
Children's Gallery. The town centre is the Market Square, with

Beaconsfield. Beaconsfield is a prosperous and picturesque town,
sitting in the attractive Chiltern Hills. Beaconsfield is located
on Junction 2 of the M40, around 25 miles north west of the heart
of London, making Heathrow and Luton less than an hour away by
road. Gatwick is an hour and a half away. Beaconsfield is 4 miles
south of Amersham, 4 miles east of High Wycombe and 4 miles west
of Gerrards Cross. It is about 90 miles from Solihull, Birmingham and

Bletchley. Bletchley is a brick-built Victorian railway town,
merging into Fenny Stratford, on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.
It is located on the A421, about 4 miles from nearby Milton Keynes.
Bletchley is about 75 miles from Birmingham. Bletchley is located
on the Roman road Watling Street, and was also a major Victorian
railway junction (the London and North Western Railway with the
Oxford-Cambridge line), which led to the huge urban growth in

Buckingham. Buckingham is a small town only 9 miles from Milton
Keynes. It has a village quality with higgledy-piggledy streets
and lively pubs. Located just off the A42, it is 6 miles east
of Brackley, 9 miles west of Milton Keynes and 8 miles south
of Towcester. Buckingham is well placed to visit the many spectacular
country houses and landscaped gardens in the area, in particular

Gerrards Cross. Gerrards Cross lies on the A40, about 20 miles northwest
of central London. It is located about 3 miles north of Junction
16 of the M25 and about 3 miles north of Junction 1 of the M40.
It is a predominantly ruraI village set in a spacious, leafy
environment, but with excellent communications. Gerrards Cross
is 4 miles east of Beaconsfield, 3 miles west of Uxbridge and
4 miles north of Slough. At about 11 miles, it is conveniently
