The Roundhouse, Chalk Farm was built in 1847
as a turntable engine shed for the London and Birmingham Railway.
The Roundhouse became a well-known arts venue, starting in 1966,
and has hosted notable performers including The Stranglers, Rolling
Stones, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin.
In 2006 it served as the venue for the BBC's Electric Proms.
