Alexandria. Alexandria is about 12 miles north of Junction 30
of the M8, about 70 miles from Edinburgh and 20 miles from Greenock.
It lies on the A82, about 3 miles north of Dumbarton, 6 miles
southwest of Drymen, located at the southern end of Loch Lomand.
It has changed over the past 20 years, many of the town centre
buildings have been demolished, making way for new housing, shops,
and a new traffic system. Also many of the surrounding small
villages have merged with Alexandria - however they have retained
their individuality. Book
