Wallace`s Cave is a cave in a sandstone cliff overlooking the
River Lugar. The cave is associated with William Wallace, although
without evidence. Not far from Auchinleck Castle.
Auchinleck Castle is situated
not far from Cumnock, within the grounds of Auchinleck Estate
on the banks of the river Lugar. The ruin of a medieval castle/keep. |
