Hadrian's Wall is a World Heritage Site, with the remains of
forts, museums, temples. The best remaining sections of the Wall
in Northumberland are about 1 metre high, reached from signposted
car parks off the B6318, close to the A69, Newcastle to Carlisle.
Other sections of the Wall are in the neighbouring counties of
