Thames is about 10 miles southwest of Charing Cross, Westminster,
generally accepted as the place for measuring the distance to
and from London. It was built at the first crossing point of
the Thames upstream from London Bridge. If you are flying to/from
London, Heathrow airport is about 3 miles from Kingston Upon
Thames and Gatwick airport is about 32 miles from Kingston Upon
Thames. Your nearest mainline rail link to Kingston Upon Thames
is Hampton Wick station and Feltham station, and it is about
