Devils Bridge, Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. Devils Bridge
is a beautiful three-arched 14th Century bridge that spans the
River Lune near Kirkby Lonsdale, and is one of the most photographed
bridges in the North of England. The bridge is so named because
of the legend that it was constructed by Satan himself. Location:
On the outskirts of Kirkby Lonsdale.
Ingleborough is a peak
in the Yorkshire Dales. It is one of the so-called Three Peaks,
the other two being Whernside and Pen-y-ghent. There are several
popular routes to its summit. The most frequently-used starting
point is the village of Ingleton, just 5 miles southeast of Kirkby
Lonsdale.
