Dalkeith. Dalkeith is located just 6 miles southeast of Edinburgh,
on the A68, just off the A720 Edinburgh bypass. Dalkeith grew
around the Castle, built in the 12th century and began life as
an agricultural settlement. In the grounds of Dalkeith Country
Park stands Dalkeith House, a magnificent residence dating from
1701 and incorporating part of the ruins of 12th Century Dalkeith
Castle. Book : West Lothian

on the east coast about 30 miles east of Edinburgh. It is about
25 miles northwest of Berwick upon Tweed. Dunbar is the sunniest
and driest town in Scotland, making its beaches, and Belhaven
Bay in particular, popular destinations. Dunbar has many fine

Edinburgh. Edinburgh is the showcase capital of Scotland, a
cosmopolitan and cultured city. The A1 starts and finishes next
to Waverley station in Edinburgh, and the city is close to the
M8, M9 and M90. It has 2 distinct parts, the Old and New Towns.
The dignified Neoclassical buildings of the New Town are laid
out on broad straight streets in gridiron pattern, with Princes
Street Edinburgh's principal thoroughfare. Set on the rocky crag
which sweeps down from the towering fairytale Castle to the Royal
Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Old Town contains the city's most
famous tourist sites.

North Berwick. North Berwick is a picturesque seaside town on the
southern shores of the Firth of Forth, where it meets the North
Sea. It lies about 7 miles north of the A1, on the A198. North
Berwick is about 25 miles east of Edinburgh and about 11 miles
north of Dunbar. The town grew as a resort in the last half of
the 1800s largely because of its two sandy bays, Berwick Bay
and Milsey Bay. North Berwick is overshadowed by North Berwick
Law, a 187m lump of volcanic rock located on the south side of
the town and visible for many miles in every direction. North Berwick: |

South Queensferry. Queensferry is sometimes called South Queensferry,
it sits on the south shore of the narrowest part of the Forth
Estuary east of Grangemouth, looking across to North Queensferry,
its twin on the Fife shore. The crossing developed here as an
obvious place to cross the river when heading into Fife from
Edinburgh. Originally a Royal Burgh in West Lothian, it is now
part of the City of Edinburgh. It is located around 10 miles
to the west of the city centre, on the shore of the Firth of
Forth between the Forth Bridge and the Forth Road Bridge, approximately
8 miles from Edinburgh Airport.
