- Grinkle Lodge
-
- A friendly welcome from Janette
and Tim awaits visitors to Grinkle Lodge, a stone built gothic
style Victorian house situated at the tip of the North Yorkshire
Moors National Park, in most beautiful countryside amid forest
and farmland with long distance sea view.
-
- It was originally the home
of the farm manager for the Grinkle Park Estate which was the
country residence of the eminent Victorian ironmaster and ship
builder Sir Charles Palmer (1822-1907) who subsequently became
M.P. for Jarrow.
-
- The house has recently been
completely renovated, and the décor and furniture throughout
has been carefully chosen to be in harmony with its age and character,
in addition Janette's hand painted murals are a delightful feature.
-
- We regret that the house is
not suitable for children under 12.
NO PETS. Guide dogs welcome.
We are a completely non-smoking establishment.
