Moel Famau Country Park, near Mold. Moel Famau is an impressive
Country Park with 2000 acres of colourful heather moorland, a
haven for wildlife like birds of prey. It forms part of the Clwydian
Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is well known
for the prominent Jubilee Tower remains at the summit. About
4 miles north of Ruthin.
Loggerheads Country Park,
Nr Mold CH7 - Tel: 01352 810469. Loggerheads, three miles from
Mold on the A494, is an area of outstanding natural beauty and
has been popular with visitors for over 70 years. Since its acquisition
and promotion by Clwyd County Council as a Country Park and Visitor
Centre the area has become a major tourist attraction. About
7 miles northeast of Ruthin.
