Arundel. Arundel is located on the A27, at the foot of the
South Downs on the River Arun. It is about 3 miles north of Littlehampton
and the coast, 10 miles east of Chichester and 7 miles northeast

biggest castle and the High Street is said to be the steepest

8 miles to the west and Haywards Heath 15 miles to the east.

Bognor Regis. Bognor Regis is one of the South Coasts premier
seaside resorts located on the A259. It is about 6 miles southeast
of Chichester and 6 miles west of Littlehampton. Worthing is
about 13 miles to the east. Bognor Pier is one of the oldest
in Britain. It was originally 305 metres (1,000 ft) long, but
has been slowly shrinking. The pavilion end sank in 1965, and

Burgess Hill. Burgess Hill is situated in gently rolling countryside,
with views to the Sussex Downs to the south and the High Weald
to the north. It lies on the B2036, just off the A273. Haywards
Heath is about 3 miles to the north, Lewes is about 8 miles southeast
and Brighton and Hove are about 8 miles due south. Burgess Hill
originated in the parishes of Clayton, Keymer and Ditchling -
all of them mentioned in the Domesday Book. The opening of the

Chichester. Chichester is about 11 miles east of Junction 5
of the A3(M), about 15 miles from Portsmouth and 65 miles from
London. It lies on the A27 with Bognor Regis about 5 miles to
the southeast and Havant about 7 miles due west. Chichester was
originally founded by the Romans in around AD 43. Evidence of
the Romans time in Chichester are the ancient city walls
and the beautiful mosaics at Fishbourne Roman Palace. Chichesters
most famous site is the impressive Gothic cathedral with its

Copthorne.Copthorne is a village on the border between Surrey
and West Sussex, close to Gatwick Airport. Copthorne is about
1 mile east of Junction 10 of the M23 Motorway, about 5 miles
west of East Grinstead and 3 miles north of Crawley. Copthorne
is separated from the town of Crawley by the M23 motorway. The
population is around 7,000 and there are over 200 small businesses
in and around the village.

Crawley. Crawley is located just inside the West Sussex border
to the south of Surrey, and is around halfway between London
and Brighton. It is about 2 miles west of Junction 10 of the
M23 Motorway. A large influence on the town's development has
been the nearby international airport, London Gatwick Airport,
which is contained within the borough's boundaries, just a few
miles from Crawley town centre. Crawley is now bypassed by the
M23, and is about 6 miles from East Grinstead and 5 miles from

East Grinstead. East Grinstead is set amidst the green rolling hills
of West Sussex. It is about 7 miles east of Junction 10 of the
M23 Motorway, about 6 miles east of Crawley and 8 miles east
of Gatwick airport. Although East Grinstead is close to Crawley
and the motorways, it has retained its own identity as a quiet,

Fontwell. Fontwell is a small town located on the A27. It
is about 5 miles east of Chichester, 4 miles north of Bognor
Regis and 4 miles west of Arundel. Fontwell offers exciting horse

Haywards Heath. Haywards Heath is situated in West Sussex, close
to the South Downs. It is located on the A272, about 12 miles
north of Brighton and about 40 miles and only 45 minutes by train
to London. Gatwick Airport is only 15 minutes away by train.
It is about 9 miles west of Uckfield and 11 miles north of Lewes.
The main shopping area, South Road, has both individual shops

Horsham. Horsham lies on the A281, about 6 miles west of
Junction 11 of the M23 Motorway. It is about 6 miles southwest
of Crawley, 10 miles southwest of Gatwick Airport and 7 miles
northeast of Billinghurst. Horsham was once a thriving medieval
market town. Today you can still wander down the ancient narrow,
paved alleyways, tree-lined streets and admire over fifty medieval
buildings. Horsham lies next to the River Arun and has a Grade

Lancing. Lancing has been a popular seaside resort since
the mid 19th century. It is located on the A27, with Worthing
2 miles to the west and Brighton 8 miles to the east. Lancing
lies on the edge of the Adur Valley, the oldest buildings date
to around 1500 AD. Lancing has a shingle beach with good stretches
of clean sand at low water.

Littlehampton. Situated midway between Bognor and Worthing is the
small seaside town of Littlehampton. It is located on the A259
with Arundel 3 miles to the north, Bognor Regis 6 miles to the
west and Chichester 12 miles to the west. The harbour is one
of Littlehampton's main attractions, together with the beach

Midhurst. Midhurst is a market town in West Sussex situated
on the River Rother. It is located on the A272, with Petersfield

Steyning. Steyning is a small town on the A283, surrounded
by the South Downs. It is 6 miles from Shoreham-by-Sea, 8 miles

It has a wealth of timber framed buildings, including Woodhouse
Cottage in Mouse Lane, and in the High Street, 14th and 15th

Worthing. Worthing is located on the A27, along the West Sussex
coastline about 8 miles west of Brighton. It enjoys the sheltered
climate provided by the South Downs in the north. Worthing is
about 115 miles from Dover and about 50 miles from Southampton.
Worthings famous landmark is its pier built in 1862; it
